NEVA saw a lot of change in 2015 and if you know us, you know that change is GOOD! There were new babies on the home front, and new additions to the team on the work front. We're so excited for what 2016 has in store for this company and want to share the details of our journey along the way - good, bad and comical!
NEVA started with a team of good friends and supporters who believed in a single mission: giving back to female artisans in South Asia by connecting them to an industry that reaches millions of American women daily - activewear! This year, our mission has grown to include other female artisans around the globe and we are thrilled with the results. We are students, we are moms, we are co-workers and sisters and we all wear some kind of activewear every day - sweating it out as we journey through our days. So why not create a niche in this billion dollar industry that gives back for good?! We coined a new term this year: "Fitanthropic" a mash up of Philanthropic and Fitness Wear and we think it describes our vision perfectly. We want Fitanthropic Activewear to be the trend of the future, the obvious choice, the way active women can do it all while staying stylish, healthy and meaningful. Look good, feel good, do good.
2016 is going to be a big year for NEVA and we are kicking it off with a trip to our very first market tradeshow - Stylemax in balmy Chicago from January 24-26. We can't wait. We're getting new samples ready, doing crazy things like sewing prototypes at our dining room tables at midnight on a Friday (um, and just for the record, we usually leave the sewing to the professionals!) and getting totally geared up for what is shaping up to be NEVA's best year yet. With gratitude for all we learned in 2015, we are ready for 2016 to BRING IT ON. Stay tuned for all the fun!
